| out that you were making the argument about "Un-American" when that wasn't what was said. I never made the case about whether what he was saying was either "anti-" or "un-". To me, it is irrelevant if one chooses to classify it as "anti-", "un-", or neither. As you pointed out, "free speech is VERY American and guaranteed by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution." (Although he said them from another country, but point still made). However, that guarantee applies to government persecution for his comments. It has nothing to do with the way people treat him on a car forum. He cannot go to jail for saying those things. That is guaranteed by the 1st Amendment. He's just being called out as being a royal asshole for doing so. That right is also guaranteed in the 1st Amendment. Frankly, bringing up the 1st Amendment in a discussion which has nothing to do with government persecution is what is lame, IMO.
